Time Machine to a Networked Windows Share
This wasn’t as difficult as I thought it would be:
- Use defaults write com.apple.systempreferences TMShowUnsupportedNetworkVolumes 1 to allow TimeMachine to allow the network drive.
- Follow the instructions here but don’t bother with trying to grab the file name. Just get your computer name from the Sharing Preferences Pane and your MAC address from Network and put these together.
